Mesa Ellipse

Designed from studies by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, the Mesa Ellipse table is part of the Mesa collection, which Poltrona Frau has reinterpreted with careful philological work. It stems from the idea of stripping away the superfluous, letting form and material speak for themselves. A piece that combines geometric precision and material intensity, allowing the natural beauty of marble and the rigour of its construction to emerge.

The Mesa Ellipse marble table expresses a balance between essential forms and refined materials. The elliptical top, available in different sizes and finishes, is made of marble with a protective treatment that preserves the surface and reduces the absorption of liquids. Each vein tells a unique story, an unrepeatable design that emerges on the smooth, solid surface. The lower face is reinforced with a technical mesh, ensuring stability and durability.

The support structure consists of a painted steel tube, on which rests a metal frame closed by a matt black aluminium sheet. The column base, available in various materials, gives the table solidity and a sculptural character, creating a harmonious contrast with the visual lightness of the top. It is an encounter between primary forms and noble materials, between balance and strength, between the design gesture and the purity of the material.
